You say that you are a "psychonautic bricoleur". What exactly is it that you do? What drives you to do these things? Why is it important that others pay attention to your activities and thoughts?

  1. I will start with exactly what it is that I do. I surround myself with a expanding matrix of collected objects that I craft into spontaneous contraptions that help me live in time and think in space. I am a psychonautic bricoleur. Like an introverted MacGuyver going on a mystical chase through the wormhole at the center of self : BEYORD!

  2. How do these objects enable psychonautic travel?

  3. I'm glad that I am not alone. Thank you for this challenging question. I will offer you a quintessential example of such a contraption, a makeshift exploration vessel that actually bears the name PSYCHONAUT! I will have to fill you in on the contemplative process that brought about a need for such a device.

  4. I collect objects as physical memories, memories of activity, memories of experience, memories of thought. I also capture and preserve these activities experiences and thoughts in the form of digital media. These audio visual recorded files are archived on my hard drives like the collected physical "memory" objects are sorted in a grid of metal drawers in my studio. Everything sits in reserve, waiting to fulfill creative potential. There is far too much content to consciously recall at will. To the conscious, the archive seems infinite and unknowable. The only way to find what you do not yet know that you need is to silence the mind to become a thought that opens a drawer without "knowing". Intuition is a skeleton key that takes you through the wall between the you and ALL.

  5. How are the physical "memories" different then the digital ones? Why have both? Do you even look at the recorded files? Is the intuitive experience the same with the digital files as it is with the physical drawers?

  6. longer answers will come , heres some short-n-quicks: different? digitals tend to hold more actual content, the digital files are like full containers, the collected physical objects function as mere triggers. Both? Automatically saving everything that feels important without questioning exponentially multiplies future creative potential as long as a consistent archiving energy is maintained so the macro studio resembles any micro drawer and visa-versa. Picking and choosing to save or discard this or that at every passing moment, would taint the flow. As for the recorded files? I dip my hand into the endless river often, never knowing if I will grab a big fish or merely feel the raw power of the river, either has great value. Also, I often use the analogy of someone taking concise notes with no intention of re-reading them. The act of just taking the notes engraves the experienced deeper into memory. And finally, the physical objects currently tend to be exhumed for specific projects more often than the digital media. At this stage of my digital file organization process, I can not intuitively locate content. If this ever becomes possible, I imagine this potential will elicit drives to create meaningful video concoctions toward expanding goals.

  7. back to the original post questions.. "What drives you to do these things?" There are not specific prior intentions. The decision to be persistant with my intuited collecting process is based on reoccurring interesting results. When surrounded by the...
