we made a big paper map the size of the ground
so we wouldn't have to get our feet dirty any more
we thought we understood the ground
because we understood our map so
the ground dissolved beneath

  1. maybe the terms of the discourse around abstraction had an interesting enough affinity to the function of the work that we mistook the map for the ground, maybe its more like an activation and tickling of deeper impulses that are the opposite of knowing

  2. the opposite of heading towards is not heading away but heading everywhere and/or heading nowhere
